unbelievable...Of course I don't really need this program as I am an IT administrator with years under my belt and some good programming/scripting skills, but it really is fantastic. It gives users a portal to report issues, it gives your IT dept. a portal for your employees to track/manage there cases. If you have only a little programming skills, almost everything about spiceworks is completely customisable. I have no clue whatsoever what "CorpNet" is talking about b/c spiceworks scans the network using lightweight(small packet size)ping requests to gather data about the network, aka it uses essentially little to no bandwidth, but with spiceworks you don't even have to take my word for it because you don't have to use that feature. I have literally saved my organisation thousands of dollars this FY by using spiceworks and best of all, I get to automate all kinds of processes, remotely manage PC's and services which allows me to focus on the more large and complicated problems like data encryption, firewall tweaking and grants and donations for our non-profit. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't skeptical and turned off by the adds I saw initially. But after using it for a day or two I figured out that I can delete those adds easily and soon had very useful add-ons which filled the screen anyway so, I am honestly giving this a five star two thumbs way up kudos or whatever. WTG spiceworks!

It's a pig, if this thing will take all your bandwidth if you’re tracking more than about 15 items not on the same subnet. Plus all the adds one must put up with unless one pays.
