Of the many sync and backup programs I've used this one is the best. GoodSync has a very similar interface (I purchased it) but AllwaySync is clearly easier to use and is absolutely logical. (Plenty are not.) The frustrating bit is that it's free for private use . . . . but . . . . . just modest normal use gets nag messages and then it ceases to work. So, if you want a great free sync program get this one. Just don't expect to use it unless you only bother to back up a few files once a month. For effective use you must buy it. |

I have used this product for several years and it has worked as specified. The only minor caveat is that it won't sync between a local drive and an FTP site. Other than that this product has preformed admirably under the stress my former employer had it do involving several GB of data that had to be updated on a daily basis (some even hourly). Well worth the money to invest in this product if you are doing more than the free version will allow. I can't comment on the speed as it took several hours to do several GB of data and images over a SAN and WAN connections. This was mainly done during the off hours so under a "normal" network load I'm sure it would not be acceptable to most admins with large caches of data to keep synced on a regular (ie daily) basis. Kudos for the software and you will always have a fan here! |

This is very nice product. It does work, and synchronises very well. It is very fast too. I am not sure if it is multitheread. Cons: no 64bit versions for W2K3 and Vista. However they said it has been planned. No dates as yet. It seems to copy open files, but not sure what is the quality. |
