Reviewer: mike Version: Documalis Free Scanner 1.0.0.1 Date: Sep 14, 2010 Rating:	FreeScanner.exe works great as it allows you to add another scanned page option and now replaces the stock Brother MFC scanner software which would not allow another scanned page to be added. Had tried the nuance PaperPortSE version from the Brother install CD which put a pdf trial watermark on all documents scanned to PDF. Freescanner.exe does not add any trial PDF watermarks or anything unprofessional like that, just works easily as it should. For Windows7 64bit had to create a desktop icon post install, then run the FreeScanner.exe icon in XP compatibility mode and also run as Administrator for FreeScanner.exe to start up. Once it got going it replace the nuance PaperPortSE version which put a pdf trial watermark on all documents scanned to PDF.

The site where this comes from apparently is hampered in some manner and can NOT service a download request. I, and my friend, gave up after waiting more than 5 minutes each time we tried. With several different computers and several different operating systems with the exact same result, it can NOT be our respective OS's and browser software, but the server which has the problem. I really WISH I could rate this software after actually USING it.
