Monitors Java sourcecode and automatically recompiles modified files. The tool aims at software developers, preferring to write programs using a plain text editor instead of a resource hungry IDE, but still want their sourcecode to be automatically recompiled on the fly without having to invoke javac manually, or waiting for it to initialize over and over again.

This tool is just perfect for me. I don't like Eclipse nor Netbeans, they both just add way to much overhead and use up a lot of system resources. The only reason to choose an IDE like Eclipse over my preferred texteditor was the ability to compile code on the fly. But with JBrownie, doing a quick syntax check becomes as easy as just saving the file, I am working on. No more hassle with starting and waiting for javac!
