We own a web development firm with an ever expanding clientele from non-profit orgs. to chain restaurants. We have been looking forever for a simple out of the box solution to not only manage our projects and clients, but to be able to invoice them as well after the project was completed. Radix does all of this and more. With the capability to set appointments, implement help desk tickets, tie expenses to client projects, manage multiple clients and tie the contact person to the clients company. We were surprised to find a built in e-mail client, a way to enter our product base, track time, and create custom invoices. You can even keep track of who is in the office, make to do lists, and enter phone messages. The only thing missing that I have found is a way to track vendors. For a free program this is one of the best, and the full install even comes with the leading open source database MySQL included. The install process completely eliminates all of the hassle of installing and configuring MySQL. But look for the file that is around 89 MB to make sure you get MySQL bundled with it. If you already have MySQL then the 26mb file will work for you. |
