I have used this on a Mac mini G4. The program ran well and the features for editing were easy to use. I never lost any files, although the were backed up before starting the editing process. I did make some mistakes editing and it was easier to just start over from the backup file in some cases. Removing clicks and pops from LP's can be a little tedious if the recording has more than a few of them. It is a good idea to read the software manual and/or print some of the pages on editing. I plan to load this program on a new Mac Mini since it worked well with the older model. |

After several weeks of using it, it has lost a number of my nearly completed projects. There are bugs. It crashes. It loses your files. I lost a lot of time and work thanks to how unreliable this software has turned out to be. |

SUCKS.... Has a seperate download just to save MP3's. Selecting seperate tracks is either impossible or so incredibly conveluted it seems impossible. Has lots of pretty buttons that don't seem to work. A huge waste of time. |
2.3.3 | Nov 25, 2019 | New Release | Changes since version 2.3.2: Equalization effect now split into two effects, Filter Curve and Graphic EQ Presets (using manage button) now active/working Can now have two points at same frequency for steep steps |
2.3.2 | May 14, 2019 | New Release | Over 20 bugs fixed, and a few small improvements/changes to features (since 2.3.0): That annoying message from Apple saying: “32-bit support will be going the way of the dodo”, no longer shows when you install Audacity on Mac. The new 64-bit Audacity works with 64-bit libraries. To use FFmpeg or MP3 libraries with 64-bit Audacity, you will need to download the updated 64-bit versions. On Windows, you may find that recording is disabled until you change Windows permissions for the microphone! That’s a security feature introduced by Windows. This affects all versions of Audacity, and affects many other audio programs. |
